More layers, more fun with Three Leches Layered Cake from Zed’s Cafe on Georgia Ave in Silver Spring, DC’s suburb. We decided to stop by one of the local independent coffee shops and see what sweets they would offer. After all, the cake makes for a great breakfast. They serve up several different desserts, but this beautiful thick slice just caught our eyes. We are big fans of putting large things like that in our mouths. Multiple layers of Leche goodness with a creamy filling and a thick caramelized layer top. It is a delightful and very filling dessert that would be perfect for sharing with a friend, or if you hungry greedy like us, eat all by yourself. Served with a side of whip cream creak because you can never have enough sweetness. Great nomnom from a great local shop that also serves up some good breakfast food and drinks.
