Al Pastor Taco from Paloma Blanca

San Antonio’s Best Tex Mex Restaurant @ Paloma Blanca

Ceviche Del Mar $10

A starter in a cup. Highly recommended San Antonio appetizer. Awesomelishies, freshly cooked fish with cilantro, onions, and tomatoes in lime juice and olive-based marinade. All packed into a nice tall glass. Nice fishy flavor with a hint of cilantro. Served chilled with sliced avocado and crackers, but I recommend their chips.

Michelada

Beer mix drink? Enjoying some fun, strange drink in one of the most popular Mexican restaurants in San Antonio, Texas. I’m not really a big fan of beers, but I just had to try this after hearing about it. This concoction requires three steps before you can enjoy it. Step 1, order Michelada that has freshly squeezed lime juice, Tabasco sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Comes with your choice of a beer. Step 2, add beer into this weird mix! Step 3, drink and drink lots of it. It has a bit of strange flavor to it with a mix of citrusy and spicy flavors. You don’t often find a beer mix drink, so this is a must-try dish.

Al Pastor Taco $7

When in Texas, you taco out. Great starter for our San Antonio foodie adventure. You get three nice soft tacos with marinated pork and pineapple, garnished with fresh cilantro, onion, pineapple, lime wedges & salsa de la señora. That’s a lot of stuff going on in this order. The pork tasted great, and I love all the sauces. I kind of wish you would get more than just three tacos.
