Unleashing our unlimited power at the Crab Soup Cook-Off during the Maryland Seafood Festival. This is a big honor for this hungry foodie.

We Judging Alternative Category
Ahhh, this crazy foodie will be judging an alternative category. This means even if you have the most amazing crab soup, if it’s not weird in some way, it’s not winning. Please give me your weirdness! Though, make sure it tastes good too 😉

A1. Vegetable Crab Noodle Chowder @ Azure Annapolis
Oh my god, this looks awful, but the taste was not bad. Could it even be an alternative for me?

A2. Watermelon and Crab Gazpacho @ Buddy’s Crabs & Ribs
This was by far my favorite from the Alternative Category. I was not expecting cold and something that tasted like Watermelon. I loved how original it was. This is by far the most alternative chowder.

A3. Grilled Corn & Crab Chowder from Charlestown Catering
BACON!!! What can I say? You always get me with bacon. If you want to try it, you must be an Erickson Living Communities resident for seniors. Dam, those seniors sure eat well.

A4. Crab & Corn Chowder @ The Oceanaire Seafood Room – Baltimore
Super creamy soup. Like gooier than liquidy, which is how I like my crab soups 🙂

A5. Chipotle Corn Chowder @ Chef Charles McKnew of Ports of Call
Chipotle Corn & Crab Chowder from the amazing Chef Charles McKnew of Ports of Call Annapolis. His first time trying the Alternative Crab Soup Category. Their cream of crab is also delicious! It is located at the DoubleTree by Hilton Annapolis. Excellent soup that we enjoyed!

A6. I forgot the name, sorry
Ahhh, it’s pretty and tasty, points!

A7. Smoked Blue Fish Chowder @ Skipper’s Pier
Wow, this tasted great! I love all the crab meat and corn chips: great soup and my #2 pick. In the end, this won the popular vote for Alternative Crab Soup. Well deserved, now make me more!
